Modular design

The modules in AMPLAN are independent entities. They are designed in such a way that each module stores, and provides forms for maintaining, a certain type of information required to keep track of all maintenance tasks of an aircraft and it's components.

Some of the modules, like the "Scheduled Maintenance Programs" module, store and maintain information which can be used more than once in differnt other modules. E. g. a defined maintenance program can be assigned to more than one aircraft.

On the next slide is an overview of the modules, the green ones are optional. The red one, the planning module, is the heart of AMPLAN. It evaluates the information of the other modules and generates the planning output which can then be used for various purpose in various ways.
