2.6. Component maintenance requirements 'CMR' module

In the CMR module all component related tasks are maintained. This includes component AD's, SB's and tasks like "generator brush check" or "fire extinguisher weight checks".

Component maintenance requirements

The layout and functionality is similar to the OOPR module, see Section 2.5, “Out of phase requirements 'OOPR' module”.

Each task is identified by a unique "Task ID". I suggest to use a consistent naming scheme because this allows for easy filtering and searching of CMR tasks.

The correct setting of the "Task type" is important for accurate SB/AD status report generation in the aircraft module.

The purpose of the "Effective as of" field is the following, e.g. if a SB has a compliance of "Within the next 400 FH", then there must be a date set which is used to find the component time at this date as starting point for the 400 FH.

2.6.1. Searching and filtering CMR tasks

This is identical to the way this is done with OOPR tasks. Please refer to Section 2.5.1, “Searching and filtering OOPR's” and Example 2.4, “Using wildcard characters for searching and filtering”.

2.6.2. Assign CMR tasks to components

When a component with an assigned CMR task is installed into an aircraft, the CMR task will appear in the AMPLAN planning module for this aircraft. When the component is removed and installed somewhere else, the assigned task will follow the component and appear in the aircraft it is installed then.

To assign a CMR task to a component, navigate to the task you want to assign and click on "Assign to component PN". The following dialog will appear.

Functionality here is the same as in the OOPR module, see Section 2.5.2, “Assign OOPR tasks to aircraft”.
